Rabbit Jumping: Agility for Bunnies

If you haven’t seen rabbit jumping, you really haven’t lived. This sport, which began in the 1970’s in Sweden is loosely based on horse show jumping and involves training rabbits to hurdle various obstacles, some high, some very long.

According to enthusiasts, the rabbits just love to jump and some of them are able to perform amazing acrobatic feats. The highest jump achieved by a rabbit was 99.5cm by a Danish rabbit named The Lassie of Quivering Grove, who may also hold the record for the most unusual rabbit name, but perhaps something is lost in translation.
